Enter The Cat
We have a cat. He came with the name Zowie but he'd only had it for a week or two- since he entered the care system- and we've changed it to Marlowe (Kit for short.) No pictures yet because he's in hiding....

Forgetful
My mother sits and watches TV from early afternoon to bedtime. She no longer knows how to work the remote so, unless we switch channels for her, she stays with the same channel all the way through. I went into the living room yesterday and we had this conversation.
My Mother (as if deeply outraged ): I don't know what this is!
Me: It's Pointless.
My Mother: I don't know what that is.
Me: It's a quiz show. You watch it every evening.
My Mother :*goes off into a peal of happy laughter as if to say "Silly me!*
Mostly we tiptoe round her forgetfulness, but perhaps we shouldn't. When I challenge her- as above- it seems to bring her to life (briefly). I don't know. I really don't.
