Exercise

Every day- so long as the weather is fine- I go out into the field and pick an armful of ragwort. Most days I go twice. I've debated with myself, the Internet and Matthew as to whether or not this is a good thing to do- and whether the horses are really at risk- and haven't been persuaded either way- but as much as anything now I'm seeing my twenty minutes worth of bending and pulling and occasional digging as exercise.

The ragwort is all dried out- and a lot of it has fallen over. It burns a treat. Because the horses have been kept out of the field the brambles are coming back, throwing out runners that catch at my boots and try to trip me up- so once I've sorted the ragwort out I'll be taking my sickle down from the wall and turning my attention to them.
