The Downs School As Was
My mother: Why are you going to Seaford?
Me: Because we like it. Don't you?
My mother: No. I was sent away to school there.

My mother's school was called The Downs; it closed in 1964. We drove past the site on our way into town. It is now occupied by flats (housed in the old buildings) and a leisure centre.
