Home Improvements

Visitors hardly ever use the front door; they use the back door because it's more convenient- and the problem with that is the back door opens onto a utility room containing a boiler and a washing machine and a profusion of switches and pipes and wires- and if you're looking to impress the neighbours- or more significantly- potential buyers- it doesn't really cut the mustard. Which is why we've got the handyman in. There's nothing we can do about the boiler and the washing machine (or nothing inexpensive) but we can get the pipes and wires boxed in- which is what he's doing. I had only the vaguest idea how he'd go about the job- but his solution is looking to be neat and convenient- and I think I'm going to be pleased.
