Handy Or What?

Yesterday I assembled a flat-pack book case.

Then Joe came to me and asked me to help him put his bed together.

Finally I fixed a set of shelves to the wall. I'm telling you people- this involved the use of an electric drill!

Oh yeah- and Joe splashed paint over one of his CDs and threw it in the bin. "Don't do that," I said, "give it me here." He retrieved it from the bin and I ran it under the tap and it came up good as new.

Respect!

I put a shelf on the wall behind my bed a few months ago. It held up for several weeks, then as soon as I let my guard down it fell off in the middle of the night with a hellish amount of noise.

Last weekend I reaffixed it to a different wall with different screws, and I'm keeping a close eye on it.

I bought a cordless drill recently. Can't imagine how I lived for all those years without making holes in the walls.

Our shelf is still there......

And counting......

A cordless drill would be good. I was down on my hands and knees under the computer table looking for somewhere to plug mine in.

I actually wanted a hand drill, being scared of power tools, but nowhere seemed to sell them and the cordless one was a cheap-as-chips £15.
