Hot, Very Hot, Not So Hot

Apparently we can't call it a heatwave because you have to have five super-hot days in a row for that to apply- but the day before yesterday was hot and yesterday was extremely hot- topping 90 farenheit- one of those days that pops up once in a while when temperatures in England outsoar those of North Africa. Today the sequence is broken; it's still warm but with a bit of a breeze, grey skies and the threat of thunder storms on the way.

Experienced a day this year where it really was 41°C hot on the outside. Never experienced something hot like this. If you came out of some shop, it was like hitting a wall. Inside it was climatized around 20°C, outside you hit the double of it.

We've just had a splendid thunderstoem, and feeling the better for it!

It feels very strange to be stepping outside into warmth, because up until a few days ago the summer here had been a bit on the parky side...

I've experienced that kind of heat- but not in Europe.

We haven't had one yet. And the temperature this afternoon has been high- but with a bit of a breeze to temper it.

I like it to be warm- but yesterday's heat was beyond my comfort zone.

It was hot enough for being a heatwave IMHO.
